Durham University recently launched its new Teaching and Learning Centre, designed to host academic conferences for 300 to 500 delegates. With a large tiered lecture theatre for 500, another for 250, and various seminar rooms, the centre makes an ideal, impressive and modern venue for large-scale events.

The centre also has a flat, open space which can be used for networking, catering, poster boards, exhibitors and sponsors, offering views across the historic city of Durham.  Other features include state-of-the-art AV equipment, free Wi-Fi throughout and a café.

The university’s in-house catering team accommodates for all diets and offers allergen-free dishes, with local and seasonal food sourced wherever possible, and healthy menu development a priority.

Durham University also offers a host of other venues to choose from, each with their own distinct character, as well as a range of accommodation across the city. Fantastic experiences are on offer, be it the history or architecture, including the cathedral and castle situated on a World Heritage Site.
