IBTM World, one of the largest global tradeshows for the meetings and events Industry, has announced Zenus and Fielddrive as joint winners of its Tech Watch Award. The awards which take place during the annual exhibition at Fira Barcelona seek to showcase the very best technology set to revolutionise the events industry. A panel of industry experts judged Zenus and Fielddrive as overall winners from a shortlist of nine finalists for their work in bringing facial recognition software to the events sector.
US software developer Zenus aims to streamline the event check-in process with biometric facial recognition solutions, while Belgium tech company Fielddrive provides on-site services for registration data integration, live badging and visitor tracing. The two companies originally submitted separate entries, but due to their collaborative efforts in the field, they were subsequently judged as one.
