Luxury four-star retreat Armathwaite Hall Country House has announced plans to open a new £4m state-of-the-art spa later this year. Based in Bassenthwaite, Keswick, the new spa will feature 10 treatment rooms, including a double treatment room, a tranquillity room, 16-metre infinity pool, floor to ceiling in-door waterfall, outside hot tub, hydrotherapy zone, dance studio and top of the range gymnasium. Carolyn Graves, Director of Armathwaite Hall, said: “We want to make the spa a destination in its own right and so are making a huge investment to ensure it is one of the best spas in the country and a flagship attraction for the lakes.”
The privately owned, 17th century former stately home, features 42 individually designed bedrooms, a Rosette award winning restaurant, and conference rooms catering for up to 80 delegates. Visit www.armathwaite-hall.com for details.
