Playing a Blinder

Doll up as gangsters and molls for an unforgettable night of 1920s-themed entertainment with Peaky Blinders Events & Entertainment.

If you haven’t already seen the BBC hit series, Peaky Blinders, you’ll have definitely heard of it. Based on a group of brothers returning from the trenches in the First World War, this epic period drama follows a working class family’s fight for power on the streets of Birmingham. Eschewing the glitz of American mob dramas for gritty realism, it paints an unflinching portrait of the 1920s. Britain’s answer to Boardwalk Empire, this award-winning drama has proved a smash hit on screens across the globe and is now set to do the same in the world of themed corporate events.

Peaky Blinders Events & Entertainment gets your company closer to the action than ever before, transporting your team back to the 1920s criminal underworld. Event organisers with over three decades of experience have spent years cherry-picking the best from 1920s-themed events to hone the most action-paced timeline to authentically recreate the Peaky Blinders universe.

Authentic props and stunning Art Deco backdrops reminiscent of The Great Gatsby plunge you into the backstreet glamour of the Roaring Twenties. Curating the best in actors, costumes and set designs from top suppliers – from horses to vintage cars, casino tables to boxing rings, musicians and dancers, lookalikes to the real actors themselves – Peaky Blinders Events & Entertainment has it all.

Shaking up the corporate events game, Peaky Blinders Events & Entertainment twists the best in popular themes and activities into one glorious night of debauched mayhem. From the glamour-soaked adrenaline of the boxing ground, horse races and the casino, to the neon-lit decadence of the period’s nightclub scene – everything you look for in a great event can be found right here.

Tasked with providing the BBC with the genuine vintage cars they use on set as they shoot the next instalment in the series, Peaky Blinders Events & Entertainment offers you the very same privilege. Guests of honour can make a grand entrance chauffeured to your venue in the classic cars that featured in the series. Whether you choose to ride in a Bentley or a Rolls Royce, you can roll up to your event in high 1920s style, as seen on TV.

For another authentic touch, a Peaky Blinders character can be waiting outside your venue astride a horse, just like the one Thomas Shelby rode in on during the first series. Lookalikes from the show can perform entertaining meet and greets and mingle at pre-reception cocktails before announcing dinner or can escort award winners to the stage. Its talented impressionist narrates Peaky Blinders themed scenes tailored to include the names of your company or staff members in the voices of the characters.

The Cheaky Blinders, a costumed tribute band can kick off the musical entertainment with the show’s theme tune before launching into a party set guaranteed to have your guests on their feet. Musicians and singers like Johnny Dogs Sings Jazz perform a raucous array of ragtime standards with a modern twist, while feathered flapper girls perform twenties cabaret in stunning costumes.

Peaky Blinders Events & Entertainment is keeping something big under itscap for that truly special event. Three actors that starred in the first three seasons can perform live as part of the Original Peaky Blinders Band. All three are seriously talented musicians: Scudboat is at the helm on vocals, Lovelock rocks some fiery chops on guitar while Fred Farr runs riot on the drums. The star-studded band which has performed up and down the country comes armed with an adrenaline-fueled set, not for the faint hearted.

Trialled earlier this year across the circuit of top event shows, the breakthrough concept hit event specialists with a sucker punch, leading it to become widely regarded as one of the hottest events of 2018. Don the three piece suit, leather boots and the infamous newsboy flat cap that gave the programme its name, (down to the razor blades allegedly sewn into the peak, used to blind enemies in street fights) and dive headfirst into the Peaky Blinders universe.

Filming for season three in The Gallery at Arley Hall.

Arley Hall

Arley Hall in Cheshire plays a starring role in the award-winning BBC drama Peaky Blinders. It has been home to Tommy Shelby since series three when he welcomed nemesis Alfie Solomons – played by Tom Hardy – into his study. Their scene was one of the highlights of the series as was the season climax that saw the family arrested and Tommy silhouetted in the doorway of Arley’s dining room. The Hollywood actors returned to Arley to film scenes for series four and five. “Our visitors can now walk in the footsteps of these amazing actors, which just adds to their experience,” says General Manager Steve Hamilton.
