Independent hotel group, Anderbury, has announced the acquisition of award-winning Rowton Hall hotel and spa in Chester.
The hotel with eight acres of adjoining garden and pastureland was placed on the market by the Wigginton family, after they elected to retire. The highly rated luxury four-star hotel and spa features 37 bedrooms, but has the opportunity for further expansion. A Georgian country house of historical merit, the manor retains many of its original 18th century features, and proves a popular venue for events and conferences with four suites catering for up to 200 guests.
Anderbury Hotel Group purchased the hotel for an undisclosed sum, adding to a portfolio that includes Hatherley Manor in Gloucestershire and leading North Wales’ hotel, St George’s in Llandudno.
Anderbury Director, Tony Burns, said: “This is an exciting time for our group. Rowton Hall is a perfect fit for us as its emphasis on quality, personal service perfectly reflects our focus on providing guests with a luxurious and memorable hotel experience.”
