ACC Liverpool is celebrating 10 years of hosting conferences.

The venue has hosted more than 1,000 conferences since it opened its doors, with the Liberal Democrats’ spring conference in March 2008 its first large national event. Since then, prestigious clients have included the BBC Worldwide Showcase, the Labour Party conference, the Royal College of Nursing and NHS Confederation. Forthcoming international congresses still to come in 2018 include Uni Global Union World Congress and Health Systems Research.

Since opening, ACC Liverpool has welcomed 850,000 conference delegates to its campus, which is also home to the BT Convention Centre, Echo Arena Liverpool and Exhibition Centre Liverpool, and has generated around £1.45 billion in economic benefit for the city region.

Bob Prattey, Chief Executive of The ACC Liverpool Group, said: “This is a milestone year as we celebrate 10 years since we opened, which gives us the opportunity to reflect on the success of the past and, more importantly, look ahead to the future.”

ACC Liverpool has also won numerous awards including being voted Best UK Conference Centre for six years running and it has continued to expand with the opening of Exhibition Centre Liverpool in 2015.
