It’s time to start thinking about Christmas! How will you entertain and reward your team?

If you haven’t already started planning your team’s Christmas party then take some inspiration from these fun themes which will no doubt impress your delegates, colleagues and clients.

A Scientific Scene

Mix Heston Blumenthal’s creative imagination with the fantastical world of Willy Wonka to create a scientific evening full of mystery and awe for delegates to enjoy. Present guests with a ‘chemical’ cocktail drinks reception to start the party, in a venue decked out with scientific and futuristic paraphernalia think neon tubes, bubbling pillars and glowing table centrepieces. During the meal, let performers such as Meddling Glow Performers deliver a show stopping LED experience. How about hiring edible mist machines to help create that laboratory setting and give guests something else to marvel at?

An Enchanted Forest

One of Shakespeare’s most famous plays A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a theme event organisers can really get their teeth stuck into this winter. While it may seem odd to pick a summer theme, this really is a magical subject that can really wow guests. Instead of presenting drinks in glasses, surprise delegates by serving bubbly in goblets! Decorate the venue withprops such as artificial trees, flowers and plants and use copious lengths of fairy lights to transport guests into an enchanted secret garden in the depths of a forest. Have meet and greet characters on stilts to create an even more distorted magical feel to your event and perhaps hire a fairy or two!

An Arabian Night

Rock the Kasbah with an exotic party enabling guests to forget about the cold weather and pretend they’re a million miles away from the chilly climes of the UK! Drape materials in vibrant oranges and deep pinks in a dining hall reminiscent of a Moroccan tent. Light up the room with an array of lanterns and lamps and perhaps introduce the odd camel to the nights’ festivities. Spice up the evening with hot foods, again bringing warmth into the seasonal party.

An Oriental Flavour

At the sound of the gong, delegates will step into a Chinese world of full of spice and carnival spirit. Imagine dragons darting between tables bringing colour and drama to your evening. With delicious Chinese foods whetting delegates’ appetites you can’t go wrong hand out spring rolls, dumplings and prawn crackers as canapГ©s at the drinks receptions to give them flavour of what’s to come. Further impress guests with an intriguing performance from Shaolin monk performers and traditional Chinese dancers.
