Nick Rosier, Chief Product and Customer Officer at Gther, discusses his commitment to delivering state of the art event app solutions, and looks ahead to exciting innovations for the sector.

“Post-pandemic, there’s been a shift from a hardware-centric approach to software- driven innovation which facilitates the creation of products such as interactive sound tables and LED walls.”

With an event technology industry career spanning more than 15 years, Nick Rosier has a proven track record of delivering cutting-edge solutions which enhance the event experience for both organiser and attendee.

His expertise lies in harnessing the latest technology trends to create user-friendly, feature-rich event apps which streamline event management, boost attendee engagement, and drive measurable results.

“The Gther platform launched in October last year, and we have thought through every aspect of the event experience with event managers in mind,” explains Nick. “Whether you are simply looking

for more information about the benefit to your workflow, or you’re a seasoned user seeking new ideas and inspiration, the apps within our product suite lets you explore different solutions.”

Gther’s apps can come together in any number of combinations and are full of powerful features. Standouts include the VX Virtual and Hybrid tool for immersive events, the Sync Meeting Management system for efficient resource bookings, an RSVP Event Registration tool integrated with leading CRMs, and a Ticketing solution for comprehensive event e-commerce. These features, along with others, cater to a broad spectrum of events, from fully customisable conferences to meetings with efficient resource management.

Nick highlights the simplicity and cost- effectiveness of Gther’s apps, saying: “It’s incredibly straightforward and takes merely half an hour to get started. Our small team can provide personalised support and add-ons including project management assistance, content management, and list management.”

The pricing structure of Gther also aligns with its commitment to accessibility: “The base entry price of £150 a month isn’t exorbitant, even for solo entrepreneurs,” says Nick. “When you consider the time Gther can save you in your daily event management tasks, the investment quickly pays off. Our tools help to save time and offer a marketing solution so you can push messages to your attendees year-round rather than just at the event itself. That’s where the real value is these days.”

Nick envisions empowering event professionals with Gther’s robust apps, enabling them to create unforgettable experiences and achieve their event objectives and eagerly anticipates the potential offered by this new technology: “You can make a really telling experience in-person without a 3D world to zoom around in and without the need of whiz- bang live stream broadcasts,” he says. “Post-pandemic, there’s been a shift from a hardware-centric approach to software- driven innovation which facilitates the creation of products such as interactive sound tables and LED walls.”

Nick is particularly enthralled by the utilisation of technology in venues such as the MSG Sphere in Vegas, YouTube’s new facility, where innovation takes centre stage. He believes that technology has transformed events into captivating and exciting experiences, offering attendees something truly spectacular.

In terms of wearable technology, Nick foresees two main areas taking the lead: AR and VR headsets. He mentions Apple’s recent announcement of an AR headset, designed to overlay content onto the physical world, making it an ideal fit for immersive in-person events.

Additionally, Nick shares insights into playful tools, saying: “Gther has been looking at brainwave-sensing headsets. We had a demo set up at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Four people put headsets on and sat in front of a Scalextric track. As they thought harder, the car went faster, and when they relaxed, it went slower. It was great fun and there are endless opportunities. At the end of the day the essence of a good event is to entertain and provide attendees with novel experiences beyond their day-to- day routines. Gther stands at the forefront of these innovations, offering event professionals the tools they need to create memorable and engaging experiences in an ever-evolving industry.”
