The iconic Manchester Piccadilly Hotel – formerly Macdonald Hotel Manchester – a fixture in the city since 2007, is set to embrace a new identity as the Manchester Marriott Hotel Piccadilly. The transition comes after the hotel changed hands in 2021, with the new owners opting for a full brand integration into the Marriott chain.

The ambitious project commenced in 2023, with a multi-million-pound refurbishment initiative spanning the entire property. Anticipated to conclude in the summer of 2024, this extensive makeover aims to elevate the hotel’s stature and offer guests a refreshed and contemporary experience.

The transformation will culminate in a grand rebranding event, revealing the Manchester Marriott Hotel Piccadilly’s new name and logo. This change marks a pivotal moment for the hotel, promising a fusion of Marriott’s renowned hospitality with the historic charm of Piccadilly.

As the largest 4* hotel in the city, the Manchester Marriott Hotel Piccadilly boasts an impressive 338 bedrooms, 11 meeting rooms, and a spacious function suite capable of hosting up to 270 guests. The refurbishment endeavours extend beyond aesthetics, incorporating state-of-the-art technology to facilitate seamless hybrid meetings, aligning with modern business needs.

The venue will be the only Marriott hotel in Manchester to feature an MClub Lounge. This exclusive space promises an elevated experience for guests, providing details and amenities that align with Marriott’s commitment to luxury and comfort. Visitors can look forward to a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, making the hotel a standout choice for both leisure and business travellers alike.
